LONDON, 1 February 2021: Race Marketing & Management (RMM) is pleased to announce its appointment as worldwide promoter of the World Parkour Championship.

The multi-term agreement between the sport’s US-based international federation, the World Freerunning Parkour Federation (WFPF) and London-based RMM was reached following months of discussion and negotiations and signed last week.

The agreement affords RMM the worldwide television and commercial rights and to undertake the marketing, promotion and organisation of all world championship events. “We are delighted to have reached this agreement with Victor Bevine of the WFPF and look forward to a productive and successful collaboration in taking this spectacular sport forward,” said RMM managing director Selim Kemahli. “We are under no illusions of the immediate challenges due to the disruption and difficulties international sporting events are facing as a result of the ongoing restrictions in place due to the global Covid-19 pandemic.

“But the federation has successfully managed and developed a sport that along with its athletes has a truly international following which gives our collaboration a great platform to build on. Our priority will be to establish a realistic but limited calendar of events for this year’s world championship. Our focus will be television production, live streaming of events, establishing a broad distribution and further exploiting the sport’s diverse reach through multiple social media platforms. We are confident that now is the time to push on.”

Race Marketing & Management is a full service sports management, marketing and media company. The company offers turnkey solutions specialising in event organisation, B2B and B2C sponsorship packaging, international broadcast rights acquisition, distribution and production.

RMM has built an enviable portfolio through its involvement with a diversity of extreme sports which include its involvement with the World Parkour Championship in Mardin, Turkey in 2018, the World Kite Board Championship and, through its sister company Case Productions, the UIM F1H2O Powerboat World Championship and UIM-ABP Aquabike World Championship.

RMM is optimistic that it will be in a position to reveal details of the opening round in the coming weeks.
